On January 1^st, 1990 Giovanni’s Pizzeria, located in Bernal Heights in San Francisco, was established by a Greek family by the name of John and Olga Trigonis and their children. For the next 18 years they enjoyed the fruit of their business flourish by meeting and making hundreds of friends from different parts of the world. By giving these friends and customers a warm family feeling, and home-style cooking, many became loyal friends and customers for the next 18 years of ownership until their retirement in April 2008 which happened to be John’s 76 birthday.

One month later after renovations, Giovanni’s re-opened to new owners, Maricela and Ricardo Perez. Keeping alive the sense of families working together that John and Olga had instilled for the past 18 years, the Perez’s three children are often seen working at Giovanni’s as well.
